Addional on Influencers

Russian women post selfies with fake injuries to protest lax ...
Recent (breaking) news
Memorizing the posts addressing the issue at the beginning of the world pandemic COVID-19 and its interaction with the influencers/bloggers, the following theme appeared - divorce. First, it seemed ridiculous to read the online magazines about the increased divorce after forceful isolation at home, with the family, otherwise meaning, staying home 24/7 with your family. Who, in the name of this world, might think that it turned out to be a problem. As appeared, indeed, it is an ongoing issue.
Besides that, the theme also mentioned earlier, is the overload on online platforms of informative content. ANY informative content coming from professionals or the people who are just interested in one or another topic. Therefore, on the Russian platform increased the recorded interviews and themes of these journals' interviews with the Russian celebrities of how to remain in love and "not kill each other" during the quarantine...
There is an online famous news-platform called "PeopleTalk" that collects information about many celebrities and famous people in and outside Russia. Recently they posted an interview with the Russian Influencer, Regina Todorenko, who is originally a Ukrainian, who used to own the Glamour Award - "The woman of the Year", "The main influencer of this year". What was the problem?
The problem was the topic of the interview that they absolutely inappropriately decided to talk about - the divorce on quarantine and increased domestic abuse towards a woman. The prehistory to this, one of the famous Russian actress, Agata Muceniece, posted an instastory on Instagram, that her husband with whom she is in divorce process for a relative amount of time already, said that he physically abused her and made her leave the house with two children during the time of the government forced quarantine. Of course, this topic was discussed during the interview made between the organization PeopleTalk and an "influencer" Regina Todorenko.
Even more to the pre-history, domestic abuse is an issue that Russian and post-USSR countries are fighting for an already significant amount of time. The topic that is infinitely being hidden and non-discussed on the governmental level as not proposing help, shelter and solution to this, for a long period of time. Especially for the countries that are more on the South with the different mentality of Russia, such as Georgia and Armenia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, etc - all suffer from domestic abuse and infringement of women's rights. To say more about the cultural traditions in the times of the 21st century, some of these countries still have such a custom as to kidnap the women to marry her. Do you see where I am leading you? The issue with abuse is crucial and been fought against for years. Even recently, the case of the three sisters has raised again the court to decide on the punishment on them who killed their father for the longitudinal domestic abuse.
Knowing all that now, been heard by every person in the countries, what do we receive from the interview with Todorenko? Again, the person who was awarded the main influencer of the year status. Who is considered as the role model, as the person whose behavior and thoughts are valuable by a significant amount of people. In the interview, commenting on the divorce and domestic violence she is saying the following: "what did you (call on woman) do for it that he does not hit you?" (TSN). With this sentence and further discussion that the woman might be in charge of the man's abusive behavior, that he hit her, that a woman is to be blamed for it. Exactly the sentence that each victim hardly learns that it is not her fault! She ruins the years of hard work and coming out of the victims of domestic violence. Later, she is immediately taken away the award, it is on the TV as breaking news, it is in all online platforms, also due to the following wave of hate and bullying towards her. However, bullying is questionable, because not all the comments are exactly on the content of bullying, some leave pretty critically rationally comments, and some remain the same commenting style and hate as it was before that news. However, the case is the case, later she posts the video on her Instagram page where she apologizes for wrong wording, mentioning that she is against domestic abuse (which become ridiculous being heard from her now), and, the most important, saying that "Maybe I am not ready to make a coming out about my story" (Todorenko, IG). But what does her apology change now?
Let's sum up. First of all, how the famous organization such as PeopleTalk may even allow posting such interview publicly? Did not they have any sponsorship to the content? Second, how the organization such as Glamour may award, based on the voices of the audience, the person like this with the influencer status? Did not they themselves check on her psychological state, on her as the personality besides the work she does (travel broadcaster, blogger, young mom, model, etc)? Third, people see and prefer to notice only what is broad to them and not thinking of the other aspects and whom they trust? So if the person is on the TV it means direct trust?
There are more questions to this, however, I hope, that the lesson is learned - we cannot blindly trust people just because they are somehow famous. Second, none of the individuals is allowed to express an opinion if he is not professional in a particular theme, especially that sensitive. Third, before making someone famous and awarding them the influencer, the psychological state of this person should be checked, otherwise, how we can teach someone something if we have unresolved problems ourselves? Four, there should be filters to what organizations allow to post, otherwise, we receive scandalous news.
Be careful and choose cautiously whom you make an influencer, learn every aspect of their life, and do not allow yourself to be blinded by all this spectacle that is displaced online. Mostly the ideal picture on IG does not reflect the nature of the reality.

What the experts say I

The following analyzed article citation:  Benwal, N. (2020, Jan 16). Social media influencers must be 'cautious', says bombay high court.  Free Press Journal,  Retrieved from https://search-proquest-com.unyp.idm.oclc.org/docview/2338872451?accountid=17238 D igging more into the research of influencers on media platforms and their responsibility, let's consider other examples mentioned on the other platforms. One such reporter was Benwal who analyzed the problem from the perspective of the comparison between journalism as the profession and its nuances and influencers such as famous figures known elsewhere but online. The reason to take a look at it through journalism is that people have the right to freedom of speech but besides that "treasure" they also should learn to be responsible for their actions and potential harm to others. The article mentions a crucial point within the investigation of the message delivery, that these public figures know that they have...

I n the previous posts, we were discussing the ongoing issues with the influencers and the lack of social responsibility. However, let's focus on the positive side that outweighs the excessive worries regarding this theme.
